Cauldon Redware Medium Plain Storage Jar in Terracotta Inner Glazed is a hand-thrown ceramic storage jar from Cauldon's Redware kitchen range, made in Stoke-on-Trent from the same Staffordshire red clay as the Brown Betty teapot and closed with a natural cork lid.

Product Highlights & Features

• What it holds: Unlabelled, so it holds whatever you need it to - rice, oats, flour, dried fruit.
• The cork lid: A natural cork stopper presses into the neck and seals it, keeping dry contents away from moisture and dust. Cork also comes out quietly, which a ceramic lid does not.
• Size and finish: The medium size holds a full retail bag decanted out of its packaging, which is the point of a jar rather than a clip. Left as bare Staffordshire red clay on the outside and glazed on the inside, so the natural terracotta colour is the finish.

About Cauldon Ceramics: Cauldon Ceramics works from Stoke-upon-Trent in the Staffordshire Potteries and is the oldest surviving maker of the Brown Betty teapot. The Redware kitchen range is thrown from the same local Etruria Marl red clay that has been dug and worked in the Potteries since the late 1600s.
